We spent the day at the springs and stopped by this cute little place on the way home. We really wanted to love this place. The sauces were really good but it stopped there. Although the 2 waitresses were nice, they were very unattentive. When we got there, there were only 3 other tables. After we ordered, a local table of 10 came in. Finally after 45 minutes we got our food. The waitress dropped off our food and never came back to our table. The pulled pork was very dry, the ribs were so over cooked you couldn't even bite off the meat, he had to use a fork and knife to cut off and my son's chicken nuggets were so chewy he couldn't eat them. We never even got a single refill on any of our drinks. We didn't say anything at the time because we had been waiting so long and were so disappointed we just wanted to pay and leave.
Freaking amazing food and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd want in a place like this; even the bathrooms were beautifully kitschy. If you're snacky I highly recommend the corn fritters, sweet salty and golden brown.
I LOVE the food here! Simply the most tender and juicy brisket I've ever tasted . Their Spinach salad is one of my favorites too. Great prices and excellent service. They were the first restaurant open in our area after IRMA and were even offering "to go" orders before the waffle house which is right next door! Family owned and a pleasurable environment has me coming back for more often.
Such Amazing service!!! We had a lot of people and Judy was more than happy to serve us and accommodate us! We went to Ivie's before and the first thing the waitress said was "We don't have a table for y'all" she wasn't inviting at all and super rude. But this place is completely the OPPOSITE!!! I love Backwoods smokehouse!! Best experience ever! We even went back the next day and Judy remembered our faces and names !
This place is absolutely amazing! The food was fresh and so delicious! The folks working there greeted us and even asked if we wanted a little bowel of water for our dog. We took our order to go and didn't wait long at all. I would highly recommend this place!
